skinmapping is the skinners job, its the first step to skinning, saying that its the modellers job is to skinmap it is just dumb, did you happen to forget the first 4 letters of skinmapping?,
and my view on that is not biased, cuz im not speaking from a modellers or skinners perspective, but from both,
if a skinner wants to skin something, how he wants it to look he has to skinmap it how HE wants it skinmapped, this forum is full of skin editors and the like who blame crap on the skinmaps all the time, REMAP them if your a skinner, your supposed to know what your doing, skinmapping is the first step into actually skinning something, and if you cant do that your not a real skinner, your still an EDITOR,
btw ran-D is his back really high poly or sumthin?, cuz i dont see where your getting 2k polies out of that,
