Ok, ive re-did a lot of parts of my old Sasuke and cut some poly's.
And the proportions are now Sasuke-ish.
Still a WIP though.

yum, seems you worked on side refs more, it shows, good job tough.. reason it looks fat is because the shirt is not coming out the sides enough, seems you welded some verticles by accident metinks, mabeh fix dot and it'll be fuine D:

Not bad so far, just add some more detail to those armbands (i think u could call em that) Perhaps reshape them to more of an hourglass type shape if u see what i'm saying.

Well once i've finished my naruto model and skinned the little bugger i'm sure could help u out with teh skin. :)

I didnt make those yet.

I really suck on skinmaps, isnt that the skinners job:p

Indeed skinmapping is a part of skinning. Lol, I remember how bad i was at skinmapping when i first started (still not too great at it :p ) and i could only do reskins. I just kinda learnt a few techniques along the way (mostly while skinning some of nuttzy's models)

actually, if you ask any pro modeler, they will tell you that skinmapping is the modelers job, and then the texture artist is there not just to texture, but to comment on the map so they can work better as an effective team.

actually modeling/skinmapping/skinning/assigning/converting is all a modelers job. only a few people can do that here at the forums *nuttzy, cj, ssc, smo, shijing* etc. any GOOD tut u find covers all of this. not just the modeling part itself *cs girl tut for example*.

Now on to the model. It looks good m8. I couldnt really tell the difference between the first and the second untill i compared them. Good job.

skinmapping is the skinners job, its the first step to skinning, saying that its the modellers job is to skinmap it is just dumb, did you happen to forget the first 4 letters of skinmapping?,

and my view on that is not biased, cuz im not speaking from a modellers or skinners perspective, but from both,

if a skinner wants to skin something, how he wants it to look he has to skinmap it how HE wants it skinmapped, this forum is full of skin editors and the like who blame crap on the skinmaps all the time, REMAP them if your a skinner, your supposed to know what your doing, skinmapping is the first step into actually skinning something, and if you cant do that your not a real skinner, your still an EDITOR,





btw ran-D is his back really high poly or sumthin?, cuz i dont see where your getting 2k polies out of that,

And yeah the back is pretty high poly, cause i made that look good, cause thats where you will be starring at in-game. :laff:

btw i edited the model cause i noticed the legs are way to long



Heres a close up, i didnt model the eyes and mouth, that will come along with the skin.
