(way too much...)
*Ahem* uhh...

I like the purple one the best of all, but I'd have to go with the 1st out of the first three. Not too much EYE (eyeyeyeyeye...) and not too bright (like #3)

I like the purple one. My only suggestion would be to have a little more color depth, like a few darker shades of purple to give it some dimension. It's also possible that the image is strong enough on its own that you don't need that little bar of color on the bottom.

Grunge is fairly easy but you need BRUSHES assuming you have photoshop 7..

Brushes can add a quick grunge look real fast...real nicely.

Either go on google.com and look for Photoshop 7 Grunge Brushes or wait a second and I'll get you a link to some brushes , how's that sound?

Alright, if you dont have photoshop and have paint shop heres some sites with great tutorials on how to apply grunge..

NOTICE: **All the following links are not all still proven to STILL WORK, also, Ryoko, if you dont find any grunge tutorials here, PM me and I can help you more if you've exhausted your resources...

You did a great job on the animation Ryoko, it looks very sharp. And for someone who claims to be bad at the grunge look, I think the sig came out quite nice. I have a thought on the font though, instead of actually typing your name in a program, have you thought about agrily scribbling it on a piece of paper and scanning it instead? I think that might add a little more to the effect. Maybe move the type a little to the left and down as well, whatever looks better. Good job though.

I tried something different (I've never done it anyway)

All my new sigs will be going on my site btw.
