I'm getting sick and tired of getting intentionally killed by my newb/idiotic teammates. I joined a server, looked at the teams, saw a score of good:120, evil: 20 (or somthing like that), and there were only 3 people on good, and 4 on evil, I figured I'd join the losers (insult + game fact
), and then when I did, I started to turn the tide of the game torward that of the losers, after I'd gotten maybe 10 or 11 kills, the idiot with the least score sends a spirit bomb my way, just as I was about to finish off another opponent, and says "You can't even keep the teams even.. Stupid n00bie".... I got this from a guy with 2 frags, 40 deaths and had been there for about 30 minutes...
I've given this a lot of thought, and figured it wouldn't be a good idea to do somthing to drastic (like losing half your powerlevel), so I thought I'd make it a bit more feesable.
To remove team kills, I suggest losing twice the power level that you would have gained if they'd killed somebody of the same power level. For instance, say a guy with 1,300,000 pl kills a guy with 4,000,000. And let's say, for instance, that you'd get 40,000 for that. Since it's a team kill, he would lose 80,000. This will discourage team kills just enough so that they aren't desirable, but won't encourage opposition to cause them too much.
Now I suppose you're saying "What if it's an accident?" Well I thought about that too, and I thought up of two different ways to solve this.
1) The team killer will slowly lose PL (like if they were at 8 hp) until the full amount is lost. At the next non-team kill, it will stop, and you'll gain the PL that you would normally gain.
2) The team killer instantly loses that pl, however he has 20 seconds to make a non-team kill, and then he'll gain back the HP he lost from the team kill, but no extra. If the 20 second time limit elapses, his pl loss is permanent until gained back from more kills.
I'm just sick of team kills, and tired of having to teach the local jackass a lesson.
