I suggest rapit fighting like they go at it with punches and kicks super fast for a long period of time ex BUTOKAI 2 or 1 RAPID FIGHTING well

And how yould you control anything that is going on? When you suggest something, try to explain how it would work.

Well I have an idea on how this could work.
  • Press the directional keys (Like in current melee), but instead your character does the move right then and there
  • No medium or heavy punches/kicks
  • Automatically does punches, until you press secondary fire.
  • Both players do this at the same time.
  • When two arrows are the same, both players would hit each other.
  • When two arrows are opposite each other, one of them would miss the punch (Would be random I guess.)
Go easy on me on this one. I just thought it up in like 5 seconds. :laff:

Krazy what you describe would have both players killing each other at the same time with the occasional random chance that one player might score more than another.

As far as faster fighting is concerned, we now have a server setting / cvar for that as of 1.2.1 which will significantly increase the speed of advanced melee exchanges and is more difficult to follow and keep up with than the default settings in 1.2 .

Yeah, I know what would happen if that were used. :laff: It would actually be quite funny to see, and quite fun. :)

Cool. Should be interesting. I guess I gotta get used to the melee speed now. So I can be ready for the faster speeds the servers are gonna be setting it at

Well what I can say is that there are melee combo's that are rapid. I always use a curtain combo that do about 10 punches but if your trunks he slice the characher.

Oh and I'm not gonna tell you the commands

thnx for explaining but its best if u observe how butokai 1 or 2 works and try to add to esf rapid fighting

if its gonna work, use the current advanced meelee code, but instead of standing still oggling eachother, it should be a meelee struggle, and it'll work the way it does already, just a few new animations to kill that silence, so a basic stuggle animation with random blocks/punches, then when the whole hit/miss thing starts, just keep what they have now, just as if its combined with the adv meelee stuggle, it'll look so much cooler and kill that 4 sec pause =)

Well I guess it would be cool if you can do a Super Dragon Fist or an Innocent Dance :p Well that could also be worked out as combo's like in Budokai 1 & 2
