Yea :p. There isn't a publicly released RPD map out yet for recb, so I made one cause I <3 RE2.

@Eon: It's the area where you first see a licker in RE2. I don't remember RE3 much but nemesis probably did pop out there. <3,3<3

I got bored and rigged RE2 style Leon from RE4 to the recb skeleton.

Actual progress on the map later, but atleast this shows the new room with ingame lighting, but I plan on dimming it down a bit.

Wow, the mod looks very interesting especially with the fact that i love resident evils. I am looking forward to this.

And enix, very good job. I can't find any flaws out of it except for the lighting, but it's WIP so i can't say anything.

there isnt some off chance that you could zoom the camera in a bit is there? like lets say the equivalent of the aiming stance in re4. I know they are trying to emulate the over the shoulder camera, but they have it panned a bit too far out, its has a little bit of a dizzying effect.

nice map btw, i think you should take a few royalties with some small details though.

maybe add some broken glass on the floor,(licker had to have gotten in there somehow right?) some garbage strewn about, some flickering lights and stuff.

and if you can get a simulated lightning strike to shine light through the windows at random, itd be awesome =) (but not sure how (if at all) possible this is.

trust me, im going to have fun with the details later :D. I have a lot of stuff planned for this room, let alone the room after it which is just as basic as this atm (the room where the zombies grab you through the wall). Lightning strikes with lighting flashing through the window is possible. Actually, that effect is used in the map recb_mansion, one of the maps that comes with the game.

and the camera is zoomed out like that because i changed the camera distance settings because I hate being zoomed in that uncomfortably close the whole time. The standard settings are zoomed in more and the character is offset differently, it looks almost exactly like you are aiming in RE4.

im trying to see if this mod is any good, problem is the second i go to start a new game it crashes instantly =(

*edit, got it working.

interesting concept, and good gameplay (in concept) but they need to redo alot of the animations, models, and rework the camera to be a little more fluid (TS did it, but its hard to explain), scaling the difficulty based on how many players are active would be great start too =/.


your map is on par (if not better) than the ones included, and if i still knew how to map id be half interested in making a map as well after seeing yours.
(i never learned hammer >_>, only the unreal tournament one)

I'm taking a short break from this to work on a little modeling contest over at polycount, I will continue with it after im done with that, should be like 2 days.

I did get a bit further, im at the area with the first actual save room and the stairs that go to the statue "puzzle".
