I took a break from modeling and I'm trying out mapping. I'm making this for Resident Evil: Cold Blood.

I started this last weekend. Most of the important detail is there, I still have a few things left to make, then I'm going to start making textures for it, most of the ones on it now are from the HL wad with the exception of the floor, the ramp, the walls, and the front door.

The RPD is huge, so I probably won't be able to make a lot of rooms, but I'm going to make a few.

well that looks to cool if its ur first map :],no crits so far , its perfect in my opinion ;), i'v been trieing to learn hammer my self , but after a lil it starts to enoy me and i quit :\

Adding more detail, only a few small things left before I start the textures. The rails around the whole place will be models, you can see how they came out on the third floor of this pic, better than alpha mapped boxes imo.

This map looks just like the PD. I think before I fought Nemesis I came across the area you took a screenshot of, and it looks exactly like it.

Thats RPD main entrance hall. You see a lot more of the station ir RE2 then in RE3

I saw that one awhile ago, it's really nice but it's far from perfect. I think the UBCS version is sexier.

Anyhooo, I started texturing this afternoon and got a bit done. I spent half the day trying to make a nice tileable wall texture, I'm finally happy with it. This is what I've got so far:

You might notice a few things on the lower floors are greenish, and that's because I was going off the colors of my RE2 screenshots which where discolored... I ripped the backgrounds from the gamecube version to make sure I get them right this time.

w poly rarely spikes to 4000 usually stays locked at 3400 and e poly max is 16000. It's not exactly optimized yet XD.
