Question for all who play Ragnarok

Would anyone would be interested in playing on a private server?
It would mean a lot less lag and alot less players.

Im trying to get one set up for friends because we are all just sick of the lag.

you need to edit a file in your RO directory to include the ip that my server will be on

Chaos never lags for me around 4-7 AM PST.
How fast is the server? any details about it.

256 megs of ram
I cant remember how fast the dsl is right now ill get back to you
there isnt gonna be more then 20 people playing and according to my friend
you only need a constant 300 byte transer so that you dont lag

I would be interested, but will you be updating it when patches come out and will you have a limit of how many people can join it?

i will be updating as regularly as possible
i will be limiting the number of people joining so that people wont have to worry about lag
I havent decided on the limit yet
But my friends will get priority because I am doing this for them(and myself)
But im pretty sure ill have enough room for the few people here that play

u do realize that they dont allow that nor do they want u to do that

There are so many private servers, I just don't care anymore, I'll stick w/ the public ones.

I know they dont want you doing that
But its so bloody laggy that people are resorting to other means of playing
I honestly would pay if they would get rid of the lag. But until the time comes
Ill use the private server.

I believe I have complete control over everything in the server. From your character stats, item drop ratios, i think shop prices as well. I have control of the leveling curve.

The way things are going i might have this up sometime next week. I'll keep everyone updated.

hmm then i'd have to redo the whole char i guess.. also there are no merchants, acos and all those... i think that would be ab it too empty

i think the big servers should make a player limit.. like 8000 peeps at tha same time.. so it doesnt lag..

if they limited the number of people able to log in at once people would justn ot log off
they would stay logged in 24/7

Its not so much bad, more like in illeagle. Is what ive heard. And anyone cought owning one will have there accound banned for a while. Not a perminant. But im up for it too. Im sick of this lag and I want to achieve my Knight job class.
