Project AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake) Tech Demo #2 Released

Just like the topic says. DoctorM64 has released the most recent version of the tech demo. It basically shows off the way the engine plays right now. It's heavilly based off the GBA version and uses a lot of sprites from it. He's added a fight with Kraid to this version. Definately the toughest Kraid fight I've ever seen. But yeah, it's a lot of fun. Well worth the 5 meg download Oh and gamepads work nicely now.

There are times when I think that I'm a huge Metroid fan...

...then I get put in my place when I find out that there's an awesome project like this one that I've never heard of. I'll definitely be trying this and, undoubtedly, begging for a complete, face-lifted Metroid 2 seconds after going through the demo.

Well there's also "Metroid: SR388" in development. It's a more expanded remake with a lot of new content that wasn't part of the original game, whereas Project AM2R is more of a faithful remake. I'm looking forward to both
