problem with setting up a dedicatet linux esf1.2 server

I have a problem with setting up a dedicated linux server, but I have a Problem.

Error Message:


Console initialized.
scandir failed:/usr/steam/hlds_l/./valve/SAVE
scandir failed:/usr/steam/hlds_l/./platform/SAVE

couldn't exec language.cfg

LoadLibrary failed on ./esf/linuxdlls/hl_i386.so: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by ./esf/linuxdlls/hl_i386.so)
Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from ./esf/linuxdlls/hl_i386.so!
FATAL ERROR (shutting down): Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from ./esf/linuxdlls/hl_i386.so!

Add "-debug" to the ./hlds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem

Maybe anyone could help me

yah i have the esf 1.2 decided sever thing and i clck on it and it says its cant find steam.exe does this mean i need steam to play if so where do i dl it

your problem is with MetaMod, the other1 has a problem with the hl_i386.so

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE FU*** Metamod.!
You can try to run the Server without that but it donst work.
The Same Problem like Towky.

ESF 1.1 Server are better than the stupid esf 1.2 servers...... say what you want but this ius true.....

Thats because Metamod hasn't been updated to work with esf 1.2. Just run esf 1.2 with no mods for now.

to make metamod load you will need to add

+localinfo mm_gamedll ./esf/linuxdlls/hl_i386.so

to the command you use to start your server.

but this error

This mean the version of libc you are running is most likely libc-2.2 or lower.
If you do a ls -al /lib/libc* it should tell you what libc you are running.

ld-2.2.5.so thats my Version i know thats the Problem (and no theMetamod I try t too but read)
I think i need 2.3 or anythink but else.
But a Member of Corona (Raven) tells me iits dangerus - my system can crash... and i dont wann re-install my system (cost much).
Or they an Save way?

all we need is a glibc 2.2.5 compatible *.so

btw i have the same prob because of suse 8.1 (NOT UPGRADEABLE TO 2.3)
sooooooooooo ESF Team GIVE US such a *.so PLS (v1.1 was 2.2.5 compatible too so why not 1.2?)

Well it would be really nice to have a GLIBC 2.2.x compatible version. U just have to compile it with debian or slackware which still uses 2.2.x.
