Problem with Installing

I have seen a few people post this same exact problem, and each post having different answers. Please, someone who knows this answer, please answer it: I have Steam and Half-Life, and I also downloaded ESF (Earth's Special Forces). The only problem is, installing it. I click, Next, Next again, and then an Installation button appears but it is not highlighted and it will not let me click it. Why is that? How do I fix this?

yea seriously! I have the EXACT same problem...its driving me nuts...

i wish they would hurry and update the compilers...thats probably why (figured as much from reading other threads)...but for freaks sakes...why do their compilers have to "time out"?? what the hell's the point of that????????
