problem with beta

Alright im new here and i downloaded the beta
and installed it without any errors but the thing
doesnt show up anywhere for me to start playing
it i would really appreciate it if someone could
help me weather it be by giving me an working
beta anything would probably help

U need to open it up with HL or u can create a shortcut with this as the target:
C:\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game esf
Thats if u have HL, but if u have CS, I dunno what the target is!!

i have hl but i dont have hl.exe it doesnt appear

If u have hl then u must have the hl.exe!! Its the games freakin main file!!
