Hmm..maybe instead of button pressing, there is an area on your HUD that periodically flashes for like a moment. When this happens, that means click your mouse and if you click it right when the flash comes up, your character will pump a new (small) attack that goes through the beam to the end of it where both beams have collided giving your a small boost. This should happen periodically and it should be the new way of pumping ki into the attack rather than just holding down click or clicking really fast. This way its more of a timing and concentration type thing that "see who can click the fastest!" or just boring and holding down click. Of course, to be even, the flashes would happen to both characters at the same time, but should be random each PS so you can't time when it's going to happen. That way if you get to add another blast but your opponent doesn't click at the right moment, your beam moves up since he messed up. Of course, PL would have a lot to do with how far it moves up. So summed up, when two beams collide they stop right htere, and the balls do not move at all. The moving is figured out with how you click the mouse during the flashes, and the distance the ball moves each time you successfully click and your opponent fails, is determined by powerlevel. Not too bad of an idea, is it?

That might be cool but not if its a to big difference between plps pls.

And a 3rd beam DOES effect all. If ya ps and someone fires a 3rd in the connection from the side it pushes both beams away.

This has probably been suggested before, but I really think that people in a powerstruggle should be invincible to any other attacks and the explosion that the powerstruggle makes should not hurt anyone else but the person that loses. It would be like a duel in jedi knight 2. If the team refuses to make the explosion of a powerstruggle not only hurt the person that loses, then the explosion in a powerstruggle should be made into an arc type explosion (like when gohan's kamehameha hits cell at the end of the big PS).

what enforcer said sounds ok, but I have a few suggestions to add to it. The flashes should occur more often if u have a high pl and the ball should keep moving to one of the people.

Only if the beams all meat at the same time. Only two affect the outcome in the code. Any more than that and only the damage is adjusted but not the outcome :)

Enforcer, the beta makes you take minimal damage from attacks while PSing. Something like 1-5% depending on where you are hit. In addition, the PS is the only "attack" with massive splash damage and radius.

The splash damage on the attacks have been capped aint they so that the high PL's dont cause super splashes all over the map?

hmmm it would be good that u can release your attack like in alpha 1.8. u couldnt power it up anymore or control it, it flys straight in the map. in a power struggle u could, if u are at a higher pl release it and teleport behinde the guy and shoot another ki beam or blast.

this would be a good option for low levels too. releasing the attack, teleporting behind a building or the enemy, and let him wonder where u r.

then charging a beam attack and waitin for the enemy.

like gohan sent cell into space with a khh ball, without reinforcing it
