Power Stop?

This is kinda hard to explain, but sometimes when people melee in the show, (Goku did this when him and Vegeta were fighting the Gohan-Buu right before they fuse) they go flying from the melee attack, but then they stick their arms and legs out and ripples in the air form around them and the forces that sent them flying dies and they stop dead in their tracks.
I was thinking this would be cool to have in the game. When you get hit by melee, you could press the block button or something and it drains half of your ki (if you have less than half, it doesn't work) and your character does this technique and stops in mid-air.
I don't know what this technique is called, if anyone knows, please post that, as well as what you think about this.

Um, hate to burst ur bubble but this already is in game. When you are hit hold down on left click and you can stop in mid-air at espense of your ki just like in the show.

Yes I know about the clicking and holding thing to stop yourself, but I don't like the way that works. I'm suggesting this either replace that or be another option to stopping yourself.

But this would do the same thing, only with a graphic effect (presumably) and using up most of your ki.
