pop-up problem

when i'm playing and pop-up appear, i lose my sound.There is a way to hear my sound again without exiting the game ?

Hit escape, wait for it to settle at the game menu, then hit resume.
That will work 90% of the time.

what is it that pops up?
are they ads that appear on your internet browser
or are they ads that appear as messages from your pc

Thats don't work for me.

It's a message of my pc (I have windows XP, so, if i press too much button at the same time, there is a pop-up)
