I haven't finished it yet, but it's easily my favourite of the 3. There's just a lot going on, more supernatural stuff than the previous ones (which I thought was the strong part of 1 and 2), and the story moves along at a really high pace. You also get the chance to play as Fettel in every level you've completed as the Point Man. Fettel can possess soldiers and he has telekinesis as well. Makes for interesting gameplay. I'm looking forward to co-op campaign with my friends.

Good, although the reviews say the SP is too short. How long have you been playing?

Oh I don't know, 3 or 4 hours? I don't think there's a way to check. One thing I forgot to mention is the fact that you're constantly being rewarded for "Challenges", like killing 10 enemies in a row without getting damaged etc - gives you points which in turn level you up, giving you stuff like increased Slow Motion and extra clips. Carries over into multiplayer from what I hear, too. Which I hear is also very cool, but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I always finish single player before I touch multiplayer.

It's a Suda 51 game if I ever saw one. Completely insane. In a good way.

I really enjoyed the RE playthrough, although I skipped over the FEAR ones since I didn't want to ruin the scares.

On that note, Deathy, you stink.

Not trying to derail the thread too much, but how are you finding F3AR? Worth buying?

I didn't regret buying FEAR 3 for a second, it's a very solid game and it's really fun to play, but the single player is pretty thin. I finished the first run after 7 hours, and my second as Fettel in about 3,5 hours. The story is also handled pretty poorly (How did Fettel turn into a ghost?). It's fun, no doubt, but I didn't really get the idea that the story's completed. Still haven't touched multiplayer so can't tell you about that. The bits I posted are some of my favourite parts in the game, the scary bits that FEAR 2 had way too few of. I think it's worth it.

People are saying the multiplayer of FEAR 3 is pretty darn good, quite different than the normal fare. Too bad though, I preferred the singleplayer.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's still very fun. It's just a bit on the short side and I, personally, didn't feel the story came full circle. There's some unanswered questions that are just a little strange, especially if you've played the first two games.
