Options Crash: Steams Fault?

Whenever i open the options menu, steam locks up my whole computer. it does this worst on this mod (alhough sporadicaly on others). is there something i can do to fix this? ive searched these forums and the steam ones and cant seem to find an answer. i really want to play this mod

Ofcourse its steam fault, i mean, Steam is a product of water, and water doesn't work well with computers even worse it makes it broken.

So don't use steam, its bad for your ocmputer

wrong actually - steam isn't bad at all - its just some people blow things way out of proportion.

it seems a wierd problem though - is it only the options menu in games that does it?

its randomly doing it in other game menus now, and sometimes does it if i just open a game.

its really weird, it would probably work fine if i only use halflife (no steam).

stupid steam.

it just locks up. sometimes i get the sound looping, others it just lock up quietly. i really want to play this :cry:
