Seriously. Anything out of the Halloween film line :p

Michael Mayers should prove better than Jayson due to unexpected killings XD

Seriously, I found "Quarantine" scary the first time I saw it. It's all shot from a POV shot (ala cloverfield), which makes it even more scary to me.

I guess classics like Alien can still be scary, since the minds behind such great pieces of filmmaking were amongst the best.

There are plenty of great filmmakers these days, but for the most part, you're dished the same garbage by many of the same idiots over one whole decade, and are products in which you know would only have any sort of effect on say, teenagers, or women.

I suppose I can compose some sort of list of films that had an effect on me growing up:

The Sixth Sense
Artificial Intelligence
Alien(s)
The Guardian
The Blair Witch Project
Open Water
Nightmare on Elm Street
The Fly (1986)
The Exorcist (1973)
The Ring

Oh and before I forget: Stephen King's 'It'. A movie that could possibly still cause my stomach to stir.

You look beasty. Reminds me of a heavy metal guitarist.

You could watch Willie Wonka... Apparently its a horrow film.

I actually like the Blair Witch Project too.

I didn't find The Sixth Sense to be all that scary.

Why is this still being discussed? this thread ended when "The Thing" was mentioned.
