As J-Tabs pointed out, I pay nearly nothing for medical care. I have a co-pay for visiting doctors and for some perscriptions. Between my wife, child and I, we pay nearly $180 every two weeks for the coverage, and we've accrued some $40,000 in medical costs the last five years between us. While I obviously pay for the insurance coverage, I don't see much cost come out of my take home pay (inusrance costs are removed from my check before taxes, which is nice, it bumps me into a lower tax bracket). My mother in law, who has medicare, pays out of her ass everytime something happens, they literally take her social security earnings. I would like to keep the rest of my paycheck.Cuc, you remember my knee problems right?
how much do you pay for your health insurance? how much would you have been likely to have to pay for a repairation on both an anterior and posterior crusciate ligament, along with knee cap repairation. baring in mind i opted for keyhole surgery, which only left two scars less than 5mm wide each.
cos my government fronted all of that. along with most of my dental costs. if i were to get into a fight, that i started, and ended up bleeding out, with broken bones, and a brain heamorage. i still wouldn't have to pay for it (except in jail time i guess).
when i go abroad, all i need to do is take an E1-11 form with me, and my government will cover all medical expenses in that country too.
a nationally funded health care plan is the way forward.
if they tried to do the reverse of what's happening there, here, and asked us to start paying for health insurance ("care"). there would be an outcry like you wouldn't believe, probably even civil unrest.
give this a read:

The above isn't me, but but speaker's totally right IMHO.The right to keep and bear arms isn't about hunting, nor is it about protecting yourself from muggers or robbers. It was written by men who, having fled the internecine struggles of Europe and having inherited the totality of the western renaissance culture, understood with the acumen of a Machiavelli the very real and omnipresent need for the people to protect themselves against a tyrannical government.
The right of the people to Keep and Bear arms shall not be infringed. It is sad to see that people must occasionally be utterly ruled to the extent of their own mortal peril in order to understand the importance of such a provision.
Exactly, I can't find a second job to pay for their health care and my health care, plus my families basic needs.might be a bit hard with a high amount of people becoming unemployed because of the economy
"Obama supports a permanent reinstatement of an "assault weapons" ban".. And then you posted a link that proved that wrong? Wait, am I mis-interoperating something?Just to throw this in here:
Barack Obama supports a permanent reinstatement of an "assault weapons" ban that had expired in 2004.
Here's more information for those interested - http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/did_obama_promise_last_year_to_ban.html
Read it again:"Obama supports a permanent reinstatement of an "assault weapons" ban".. And then you posted a link that proved that wrong? Wait, am I mis-interoperating something?
A widely circulated e-mail quoting Obama is baseless and almost certainly fabricated. He does support reinstatement of the expired "assault weapons ban" but isn't calling for a wider ban on all semi-automatic weapons. He said repeatedly during the campaign, "I am not going to take your guns away."
Obama-Biden, "Urban Policy": As president, Barack Obama would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals who shouldn't have them. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent, as such weapons belong on foreign battlefields and not on our streets.
No, it's not, which is why I didn't use any. I'm serious. Free health care where I don't have to pay for it, via a health insurance or taxes. ****, I'd be happy. The sarcasm really isn't needed.
