Didn't you already make a Revolution thread? Anyway..
The movie was a bit.. I don't know. They could've cut it in half and made it as strong a point.
From the first article, "According to recent information, Revolution will also be able to play high-definition games and regularly go online."
I find this funny, because Gamecube itself doesn't offer HD support. It
did, originally but the later gamecube models (such as the one I have) don't have the port for component (also used for HDTV connections). I wanted a cord for my HDTV. So I went to an Electronics Boutique and asked if they had them in stock. "We don't carry them--nobody does. You can only get them from Nintendo.com."
Inconvenient, I thought.. but I still wanted one, so I went on Nintendo.com. Then I looked through their accessories section, and what did I find? A disclaimer: "All Gamecubes made after (so and so) date do not support component video."
Nintendo's justification?
"Why have you removed the component video feature from the Nintendo GameCube?
On newer models of the Nintendo GameCube, we opted to remove the digital A/V out port from the system because we found that less than one percent of all Nintendo GameCube players used this feature."
Could it be..
because you never sold the cord in stores, and instead would've made people go to your inconvenient website and pay for extra shipping, and the wait assosciated with ordering, as the reason only 1% of people used them?
What a revelation. Anyway--I think your article is 'embellished' because of this assertion. Is it possible Nintendo has changed their standpoint? Yes.. but I'd personally need more than

The second article doesn't contain any real information.. Besides the mis-labelled pictures and

I'd like to see an official news release from Nintendo itself before I start believing in the Revolution. But should that come, no new thread will be necessary!
