After playing Budokai 3, I was thinking about how awesomely cool the dragon rush looked :laff: That's when I thought, why not do the same type of thing on 1.3? All your thoughts are welcome :)

For someone who's not played Budoukai 3, want to explain "Dragon Rush?"

Player 1 smashes player 2
Dragon Rush active
Player 1 hits player 2 very quickly , twice.
Button screen comes up
Player 1 and player 2 select buttons.
Buttons pressed , If buttons are the same , player 2 dodges and smashes player 1 downwards(End here) If buttons differ:
Player 1 quickly punches player 2 8 times followed by a smash.
Repeat button selection , previous button dissapeared from either players selection.
If buttons are the same , Player 1 and player to enter a steriotypical DBZ block - hit - block - hit rush on eachother.
If buttons differ player 2 combo's player 1 again.
Again the buttons are selected , only 2 buttons remain for selection this time (Notice how it gets less and less of a chance for player 2 to hit)
Final Phase , if player 1 blocks he is smashed downwards and lands , then dodges player 2's kick , player 2 skids to a halt and battle resumes.
If buttons differ , player 2 smashes player 1 backwards , flys after him and delivers a powerful gut splitting kick to the stomach , followed by a smash downwards. (Kick differs for character , for frieza its a finger beam assalt , for others its a well charged Ki ball)

I suppose it could go like this in ESF

Select Button
(Wrong-Player 2 Combo's/Right Player 1 Combo's)
Select Button
(Wrong-Player 2 Combo's/Right Player 1 Combo's)
Select Button
(Wrong-Player 2 Combo's/Right Player 1 Combo's)

So its equal for each player , however this isn't the most wondeful of ideas...

God winning all the struggles in dragon rush mode....insane....

I would love to see something like this be implemented into ESF, even though it's kinda already possible...

Advanced melee head on, win, teleport after them, slam them to the ground, and ki blast, but thats very difficult.

I say, there is a new combo, a 3 in one combo. In the new advacned melee system, all red attacks will knock back the opponent, so lets say ur in advacned melee mode, you press, up green left green and right red. the bar keep moving, bu an involuntary animation is playing at the same time. once the naimation corresponds to the red mark, the person gettibng hit is knocked back and the hitter automatically rushes towards them. While this is going on, the advanced melee button press time bar is still going, and you must press another combo ending with a red hit, and same with the thrid one.

If a person doesn't dodge these, the first set of button will have the attacker doing a punching-kicking combo and then send them flying through the air. They automatically fly after the person and is followed with another combo and sending them through the air if they made the 2nd set of combos ending with a red hit. Now the final one is unique, like in budokai 3. example, if your a normal sayian, you'll just rush towards them and hit them from the bottom and hit them again from the top sneding them down. If you are a super saiyan, i guess ki attacks charge up extremely faster for 5 seconds so you can charge a kamehameha or a lot of ki blast at the opponent while they are stunned.

Then again, sounds too complicated, but the idea to me seems fun

This would be in open combat to , so I guess it'd work in gameplay style , Interception could be an annoying problem. Also , Maby right click could cancle the auto feature.

And the smash move may have to be chargeble , say you have to charge at your opponent , hit them with basic melee , teliport then charge for 1(Ish) second while they recover and then do a smash hit to enter the "Dragn rush" witch would basically allow you to do 3 melee combo's in a row.

That would offset the game even moreso... It's already done so that, those who are masters of melee are unstoppable... We don't need it getting to the point of having something like that...

Completeing a full Dragon rush Is damn near impossible, and the smash it would be VERY hard to get in , I mean , no one stands there while you smash them , I'd say 80-90% of people would be able to teliport that , its more a carelessness move.

Sorry for that last confusing post guys :D Anyway, i was thinking that if they DID put an variation of the dragon rush, they could put a "no dragon rush" setting for those who dont like them so that it wouldn't ruin the players fun :) Again i'm very sorry i didn't think about explaining the dragon rush ;D

Its near impossible because everything is random. Theres no skillinvolved and It adds nothing to the game other then flashy effects.

Also, my original idea for the activation for the dragon rush wold be to do a basic melee blow, then at the exact moment, press the power up button to, at the cost of a lot of ki, send them into dragon rush mode. Then, I guess they could do the punch combo for the first set of blows, then the kick combo for the second set, then a powerful attack for each character at the end. If the person blocks a certain set of blows(like the first second or third), there would also be a different counter/block for that set of blows for each character. Sounds like a cool idea to me:)

Like I said in my other post, there could be a no dragon rush setting for those who don't prefer it.

That reminds me of DBGT: Final Bout and its meteo system.

No one puts thought into their suggestions anymore. this isn't budokai 3, this is esf.

Now with that said, understand this is an ONLINE game. there is lag. What you speak of would one, like hybrid said, require not skill, all guessing and luck. and two, you would need like 5 ping. Won't happen. the lowest ping i get is the -)Z(- clan server with 30 ping

even the awsomly proposed melee system by carnage the 1 or some name like that would require like 20 ping to play in.

What you speak of is not possible in esf.

the dragon rush is where a the two players both press a butten, if the buttens are the same no further damage is taken, if the buttens are different further damage is taken, there are three instances where the players need to press a butten...

im not to sure weather or not this would work, maybe if it was just movement buttens it would work
