They are books that are put out by the author of the manga to show information on all of the characters as they grow. Pretty much they did one for DBZ as well. I think most Shonen Manga that get big have one.

It shows something like this. Then it gives you a direct statistic on their Jutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Seal, and other stats.

It compares heights and all as well.
