I think its interesting to see the POV from Gaara's father. After all, this whole part of the manga has been about understanding others.

Wait so they just retconned Gaara's emotional trauma by saying it was some kind of test by the Kazekage? That's bloody stupid.

That's not a retcon, Gaara's emotional trauma remains, he was just wrong about his father's motives when he was a kid. The rest of it remains, and his mother did not hate him as had been stated by a character who was told to lie to him.

It's annoying, one of the things I like most about anime/mangu is that the stories can be much much darker than western stories- but this time they've taken one of the darkest stories in the series and said "Oh, actually everyone was really nice it was just a misunderstanding"..

The pain and trauma are still there so nothing can clear that away. And they weren't all nice with him. After all he was a Jinchuuriki.

He's a guy. Usually names ending in -maru are male names.

The chapter was awesome, but I want to see more of Naruto and maybe Sasuke. I'll hate it if they just pop Sasuke in, all powered up, before Naruto fights Madara, only to end up giving his life to help Naruto out.

Naruto got crazy with kyuubi controling powers, he is practicly one of the strongest out there, he can and probably will beat the crap out of anyone, BUT, no one is running away, everyone is challenging him like he is nothing, they don't see him as anything special really or a threat. I mean he glows gold?! I would be like, ok, I should probably let this SSJ pass.
I want to see it more like the Matrix 1 at the end of the movie, when agents run away, more like when enemy ninja's saw Minato in battle, I want to see more dialogs like: "HOLLY ******* HELL! RUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!". I want to see some tremble man, this is degrading him so much..
