I was curious as to what the best music and the best video players are?

As of right now, I just use Winamp for music and movies. Anything better then this?

Depends on what you like.

Quicktime (can't stand)
Realplayer (Can't stand)
Windows Media Player (Overall best choice)
Winamp (Better for music/streaming music, I think)
Videolan's VLC (Backup for things WMP can't play)

I prefer Quicktime and iTunes, but that's because I'm an Apple fanboy..

Realplayer is imho the worst option out of all players.. Winamp is nice if you want simple mp3 playback with limited options (but don't use it for video).. Windows media player is quite nice for video (a bit slow upon loading or streaming) but is the worst option for mp3 playback (maybe 1 mp3, but not a whole list)

Quicktime is for me, the most stable of all video players, and iTunas just has better sync, indexing etcetc

I generally use Windows Media Player for music if i'm working or browsing, Winamp with the most basic skin for gaming (less RAM consumption) and VLC for all video, it's never crashed or had a codec problem or anything.

I suggest Windows Media Player (latest one) for Videos,
Winamp (latest version) for Music.
My two cents.
