I'd just get Miranda if I were you guys. I stopped using all Instant messengers when I found it.

Though some people say GAIM (for Linux) is good too. I like Miranda coz its not a resource hog, not built with heavyduty eyecandy and not easy to crash.

Miranda bugged? Never. It never crashed on me. Gaim is awesome as well, Trillian is OK but nothing compared to these two.

i have yet to make miranda crash.... Maybe it can happen someday

I do crash the taskmanagr itself... so
