Models and Maps

i'm new and basically just got the game working and i wanted to download Brolly (because he pwns) and some other maps to play with

when i download the files, it comes in .rar but the maps are .bsp and the models are .spr
also nothing on my computer opens up with .rar files

so how do i download and use the new characters and maps?

Firstly to correct you ^^

models = .MDL
maps = .BSP
sprites = .SPR


As for the whole rar thing. Its practicaly the same as zip. Its a compressed file that contains the models and other stuff.

Youll need winrar to open them. You can get it at www.rarlabs.com

and i was too lazy to look up the actual names of the file xD

ok i have another question now ><

now that i've unzipped (unrared? xD) the folder, where do i save all the stuff?
btw i'm talking about the "tmx map pack"

You put the .bsp files in your esf/maps folder. :3

Models in esf/models
Sprites in esf/sprites
.wad files in your root esf folder
files that end with a tga are put in esf/gfx/env

And that's about all, the rest is easy(sounds in esf/sound).
