i need help. When trying to start a new game (the game is Ecx Rc2) already starts to load and suddenly pops up an error "Microsoft Visual C + + Runtime Library" what is going on please hel

Forum policy is to not support someone unless they use a legal copy of HL through Steam. ESF also needs Steam to function properly, it's designed to run through it. I'm afraid unless you're willing to get Steam and register a legal copy of HL to your account, it'll mean that you're not going to get any help regarding ESF.

You need Steam and a valid copy of Half-Life to play ESF and ECX.

By Valid Copy they mean that you have to buy Half life From Steam(8.99 if im not wrong) and install ESF on it

Sarksa, as been told many times you need a valid Half-Life copy through steam in order to get full support and to play ESF with no trouble at all. If you do have steam with evidence (screenshots) and of course half-life on it then you are fully welcome to create another thread. I'm sorry, but the forum rules are clear we don't support non-steam users.
