Melee Bug

When I have been attacked by a Melee attack is it supposed to make my screen go crazy and flicker black and back to normal until the opponent combo has subsided or is that only when you are hit when not defending? I've also noticed when certain things happen my chat text changes to strange formats until I die or my screen flickers during a melee. Is there somthing wrong with my ESF or is this a common problem? Thanks in advance.

If you know -how- to fix this, can you assist?

I dont have this problem, are u playing WON or STEAM?
do u have the right drivers, have u tried reinstall halflife/esf
have u selected OpenGL in the video menu? (Atleast dont chose Software, since that isnt too good =S)

That happens to me when i'm in first person.... Other then that I havn't seen it
