LAN problem

Ok, so my friend and I were playing games on LAN and stuff and decided to play ESF. He started a server and I found it, but when it started to connect, it booted me from multiplayer and said something like "LAN is reserved for local clients, Class C"

I have played this mod a whole $%*# lot and have never had problems with it, please help someone.

That most likely means you are not LAN'd with him. Make sure you are connected properly. You do realize you have to be connected with the computer you are lanning with right??

how would he be able to see the game at all if he wasnt connected at all?

well.. do other games work, can you access his pc? if not, then your lan is gone. i think i remember this though i had a problem with it.. i had to reinstall my hl but i also formatted due to some corrupted things and the happy virus was on my pc. so im not sure if a reinstall would work.. try it all :cry:
