Heh you see this is what i laugh at the most. Guess what "Your" people are responsible for making Slovenia a much smaller country than it originally was before Yugoslavia was made.

Compare the two. Thats how much we lost of our people and of our teritorry because the hotshot idiots in charge of Yugoslavia decided so. And anyone who oposed it was sent to a prison island and was treeted like a slave untill he died.

And I don't think you should be comparing the secesion of Kosovo to Yugoslavia breaking up. Every country of former Yugoslavia lost more than 50% of its territory, Slovenia just lost most. Though if you compare Slovenia to Macedonia, you both lost about the same.
And don't tell me life was bad for you guys back in Yugoslavia. My father worked in a Slovenian firm, he had a monthly salary of what would be today's 1800 €. You guys weren't in a bad position at all from what I know. Except those who were extremely religious and hated socialism, though I don't know why because it worked just fine.

It only worked fine for those who were in the socialist fraction. For the others it didnt work at all. And im not talking about Yugoslavia breaking up. Im talking about the old border of the Yugoslavian Republic Slovenia. The border we have now is only like that cause Yugoslavia drew it like that. Each republic of Yugoslavia had its own border, even if they were open.
You say your father worked in a slovenian firm and had a good pay. Thats true. It was Slovenia that built the first truck in Yugoslavia. Heck most of the first built in Yugoslavia came from this place. Yet still we were one of the most looked-down-upon of the old republics.
As for comparing the downfall of Yugoslavia to the current Kosovo situation? Its quite the same. Yugoslavia colapsed and fell apart cause the old Republics couldnt stand it anymore and started to resist. We won out independance thanks to that. But isnt exacly that what Kosovo is doing now. Face it the majority of the people in Kosovo had enough of the Serbian rule over them. So tehy decided to resist and liberate themselves. The EU helped us and the US helped Kosovo. In the end its exacly the same with difrent names.
Only Yugoslavia went to war over it. Serbia is so far only filled with protests. The rest is the same.

From 5PM til now, there was big protest in the center of the Belgrade. I think I haven't seen that much Serbs on one place.... ever? There was 1 million of them screaming, "Kosovo is the heart of Serbia" "We're not giving Kosovo" with a lot of touchy speeches. Some of the politicians want war with Albanians, the other want this all to be ended. But one thing is for sure: we won't give them Kosovo so easily. They practicly invaded Kosovo. There is one saying around here: "Albanians beat us with their ****s". What dan said, 9 children per house is a lot. No wonder they became most of the population on Kosovo.

How did they "invade" Kosovo? The population of the city is 92% Albanian. Ethnic Serbians are the minority there.
Granted, I might be upset if, say, New York wanted to seceed from the United States. But if the government had been oppressing or ignoring New Yorkers and not letting the state govern itself, I wouldn't be very surprised or angry at anyone except the Federal government.
Maybe if the Serbian government had been interested in Kosovo's grievances, this wouldn't have happened.

Now incedents are heppaning. Check BBC. The serbs have attacked USA and Croatian ambacy. McDonalds has all glasses broken, and Merkator (Slovenian Mega-Market) is closed. Now police came. I'll keep informing ya guys.

Now their praying in front of the biggest temple in Serbia, Temple of St. Sava.
They were throwing trees, and bricks on those two ambacies. And one weird thing, that there wasn't any security. Well, it took them half of hour to come. They should know this would happen. Those guys took the crest of USA and kicked it on the ground and the walls of ambacy, was rly fun to watch.

That's true, and it was quite unfair. But if I recall, Josip Broz Tito looked upon everyone the same. I can quote his famous speech right now "We must lead by example and show that there cannot be majorities or minorites! Socialism casts away minorities and majorities, and once there are no more minorities or majorities, everyone is one nationality, and we are all one unique nation! Each of our nations would be NOTHING if we wouldn't be together!" He obviously meant that for Slovenians also, since he was half-slovenian. If the president looks upon everyone the same, you're already in a better position than saying "everybody looks down upon us." Tito was a very influential person and changed the minds of many people, he was a born leader and a marshal, but that doesn't mean he was a dictator all his life. It could be said that he was one in the beginning of his rule, but that was right after WWII and he basically had no choice if the country was to survive.

oh plz Bolteh, now you're telling YOU know the history of Kosovo? The Serbia's beginings were on Kosovo. After they freed themselves from Turkey, Turkey made Albanians invade Kosovo. And Im sure you can't imagine how it is to be bombarded by America, when you have almost nothing to eat, when you have electricity for 5 hours per day? Well, those are the reasons I hate America, why Serbs hate America. And I repeat: I do not hate any american on this forum, I hate USA goverment, and George Bush.
