ki blob with beam

Hey, i was wondering, if you can make a blob with a ki attack why not with an exposion from a beam? like if you shot a generic beam at someone, and you continued firing the beam and the "blob" would increase in size?

I posted an idea a little while back about something similar to this. Main core of the idea was about a ki blob being formed during a power struggle where the 2 people involved had a pretty even power level.
It wouldnt be right to make a ki blob from just your own beam, but in a power struggle where things are pretty even, it makes sense. My idea was aiming at there being able to be a draw in a power struggle without either dying, as even power struggles do happen a lot in the series.You can check out my idea here...
