I think you should look at the tail ref Sadner posted, there's supposed to be a bulge connecting the tail to the upper back. Other than that it's looking very nice, such an interesting character design yet you rarely see him get modelled. I'll be looking forward to seeing this progress.

I like it alot, this is so cool, even though I haven't seen janemba properly yet, but this reminds me him, and I almost always forget how something looks, so in other words, your model rocks!

apply seperate smoothing groups at the different parts.
That looks really awesome man, i love how you managed to bring out his shoulders, rarely see that on a low-poly model , two thumbs up mate.
btw i'd love to have a go at it, release a SDK?

As of now, the tail is coming out of his back, above his waist.

can be skinned properly.

also I found no good episode refs so I used budokai ones instead ^

im skinmapping it as i type this,

so far there is hardly any stretching, if anyone wants to use my maps when im done just try to catch me online. but i warn you, my skinmaps arent very user friendly sometimes.
