yeah, well i think you're a stuck up penis munching ******

take that, son!
I'd insult you, but I fear your grandmother will punish me as she punishes you every Sunday night with that whip and thong.

And in seriousness, I didn't think Spidey was dumb enough to think sugar induced hyperactivity, so I figured he was calling you fat. It wasn't an insult.

It's you. There was never a time where someone did not consider him clinically insane. Well, apart from you, that is.
I never considered Synth clinically insane.

I always thought of him as bat-**** crazy...

hmm, maybe you should reply to my whole post and not the BS i was was being sarcastic about.... :3 the video games and internet will definatly help the US. at least limit the young ones internet useage. as i said. its straight up Laziness that makes us so obease.

and being thin is easy with a sensable diet and plenty of physical exercize will definatly get the obease levels down.

im a soldier and i know for a fact anyone can get thin, i was a lil fatty growing up till i got into the military. and i lost the weight from working out. so this i know for a fact.

Did you ever consider that in the last 100 years orso, our jobs changed. More and more people don't have physically hard jobs. Humans aren't meant to sit on their ass ten hours a day, and sleep for another eight.
When it comes to kids, medical reasons aside, the parents just suck. having an overweight 5 year old tells you more about the parents then the kid.

maybe so. 10 hours a day at work? maybe and 8 hours of sleep? too much. there are still 6 hours not accounted. you only need to run for one hour to burn off anything you ate all day. not onlyt that but the human body burns 1400 calories a day on its own. so you can be a professional couch potatoe and eat cheetos all day as long as you dont go over 1400 calories a day. but thing is. it takes your body to burn 3600cal to lose one lbs. so as long as you only eat 1200-1400 a day you can lost one lbs a week. in thearoy, but now the problem is that the US has foods that are packed with calories for such small portions. candy chips and sodas are things you dont need to live but we deside to eat this crap as a quick snack to substitute a real mean with these little premade meals that us eat too much calories. also dont forget sugar and and sodium that are needed but not in large amounts.

Running one hour a day is about an 8 mile run a day. That is a quite a lot of running, I don't think the average person needs anywhere near that amount of exercise to be thin. With running, I don't think that it's the calories burned which help you lose weight, but rather the increased metabolism.

In any case, I'm convinced that weight loss is 90% diet, that most people can get away with just changing their diet rather than also starting an exercise routine.

Both are important, actually. Food = energy, no matter what your diet is, if you don't find some way to spend that energy, it's going to turn into fat. Simple as that. That doesn't have to be necessarily exercise, it just matters that you're doing SOMETHING physically. Helping a friend move his closet, taking a walk, generally being more active.

Having a job doesn't count, because unless you're a construction worker, chances are you're sitting all day on your ass in an office somewhere, which you got to by car or public transportation.

A healthier diet doesn't hurt either. It's worth it to spend a little more money on your food to know you aren't eating garbage, in my opinion at least.

This is completely true. Energy in vs energy out. You use a set amount of energy passively (your basal metabolic rate) plus whatever you use just walking around in a day. If you consume that amount, or a little less, you will not gain weight. Meaning: Don't eat so much you fat ****s (I know, the answer seems so obvious)

That's an option for either lazy people, or people who work too hard so they just don't have any time to exercise. In my personal opinion, it's best to eat more food and spend that extra energy on exercise.

That way, not only will you NOT gain weight, because you're spending all that extra energy, but you will also strengthen your body, which will really help you later in life when you start to fatigue due to aging. Much less back pains, better stamina, etc. Of course, assuming you're exercising properly and not just damaging your body by overdoing it. I consider it the 'healthier' method.

Judging from what I've read, people on restricted calorie diets live longer than those who consume more calories. It's not because the people who consume more calories are obese or anything, they've shown this to be true for people who are a normal weight.

Also, I can't believe this thread has taken a turn into being serious.

Same reason why vegans live longer than non-vegans. Living longer doesn't necessarily mean you're healthier, though. It just means your heart is probably beating slower and that you're less at a risk of a common cause of death, say, a heart attack. A vegan practically can't have a heart attack because he never puts anything that can clog his arteries into his system.

However, the counter-effect of this is that they're, well, basically pale, weak and skinny. Their diet basically forbids them any real source of iron and protein (I'm talking about vegans, not vegetarians. There's a difference.). I mean, you'd have to eat four cups of cabbage to take in the calories found in a single egg. Myself, I'd rather live a few years less but be able to run to the bus, play football and weigh enough to be in a moshpit.

I'm reminded of a rain worm experiment.
They had two groups of rain worms, one group constantly had food, the other only got food when they stopped growing. (Rain worms never stop growing afaik)
The rain worms that didn't have a constant food supply, and were basically started into not growing became up to eight times so long. (might of been 3 times too, numbers are fuzzzzy)

interesting stuff!

Source or it didn't happen.

Also, what you're describing are malnourished vegans, which I really hope isn't the primary type of vegan.
