maybe so. 10 hours a day at work? maybe and 8 hours of sleep? too much. there are still 6 hours not accounted. you only need to run for one hour to burn off anything you ate all day. not onlyt that but the human body burns 1400 calories a day on its own. so you can be a professional couch potatoe and eat cheetos all day as long as you dont go over 1400 calories a day. but thing is. it takes your body to burn 3600cal to lose one lbs. so as long as you only eat 1200-1400 a day you can lost one lbs a week. in thearoy, but now the problem is that the US has foods that are packed with calories for such small portions. candy chips and sodas are things you dont need to live but we deside to eat this crap as a quick snack to substitute a real mean with these little premade meals that us eat too much calories. also dont forget sugar and and sodium that are needed but not in large amounts.Did you ever consider that in the last 100 years orso, our jobs changed. If you consume that amount, or a little less, you will not gain weight.
