also if u say the movie is alive just because someone who has no proof they have any thing at all to do with the movie then thats just silly

this is no proof that this horible movie is in production and given the fact that the movie company who was supost to be producing it said theres no movie just proves the fact that this movie doesnt exist

It Will Still be a SUCKY Movie. Especially the fact the Actors they have playing and the editions they will be doing to it to give it a more :american feel; if this rumor isnt a lie. Only good thing I see if the guy who played darth maul being vegeta thats the only good thing. Piccolo looked nice, but what they planned for goku pissed me off.

-offtopic - Just wondering hib, how do you know its going to be horrible? With computer graphics today and acting, scripts and screenplay, i think it will turn out pretty good if done correctly.

it will be the 14th Movie that DB has spawned and the 1st live action and if it written by an american that watched the american dubb it's going to suck the need toriyama to write the script then it might work.

It means that when u see at the graphic that LOTR has been made with u can see that it isn't impossible to make a great looking DBZ movie

well i like the idea of an live action movie,its a nice tribute to the most famous manga/anime in the world.today alot of famous marvel comics are in live action movies why not dbz?of course it will be a terrible movie and i will hate it^^but its a nice tribute i think.mmhh but there isnt a proof that they are really making a movie and iv seen alot of messages where people called the company by phone and they said that they arent making such a movie.
anyway the 2 wallpapers with piccolo and the one with "all they need is seven and the universe is theirs" they are professionaly faked.

Don't forget, many of the good SFX companies are busy right now, the crew from LOTR is busy doing NGE, ILM is on Star Wars Episode III . . . I really believe that this movie may have been an idea kicked around for a little while, but it is fully dead now.

I agree that it's not legit...but I don't agree at all on the following points:

1.) Toriyama doesn't need to write it for it not to suck. Almost all of the most heralded writers in history are north american or european, and the entireity of the world's movie success comes straight out of hollywood. There are dozens of nameless but excellent screenwriters out there who could do it well.
2.) I don't think the movie would suck. I mean, yeah, it's not going to be the greatest movie of all time...but the bottom line is, they can do the fighting part, and that's the only thing I really care about. Basically I'm imagining a whole movie full of Neo Vs. Smith with like Goku and Frieza playing their roles (with Frieza of course looking like something like the Wishmaster meets Tron).
3.) The best way to tell if these DBZ movies are fake, as someone with production experience, is to just take a look at the cast list. "They have Ray Park, Liam Neeson, Jackie Chan, Jim Carrey," whoever the hell else they come up with...they are these terribly farfetched cast listings. Also they say things like "they're gonna make a movie of each saga"...no offense but if you take out the grunts and long amazed stares, you could fit all of dbz into MAYBE two hour-and-a-half movies...IF you stretch it. And they say stuff like Lucasarts will do the visuals and crap...that's just crap. Sure it has a huge budget but honestly...the ideas of them taking such precious care with the DBZ storyline and time line is just preposterous. They wouldn't do that in ANY movie.

As far as the whole "an american writer will make it suck" thing...as an american writer, I take a little offense to that. The Japanese folks like Toriyama know manga and artwork and all of that stuff that goes hand in hand with anime (you know, like needless cartoon porn). Us americans can't touch that, we can'ty beat that with a stick, that's their thing. We, on the other hand (as in, the supposedly horrid american screenwriters of the universe), make it our business to know entertainment. Two separate animals entirely.

That being said...I think it could be made at least tolerably well. And that's regardless of the writer (It's pretty hard to screw up a story that's already written unless changes are made on purpose).

However, if anyone thinks it's going to be anything at all without an american special effects team and budget, by all means, enjoy your MXC-looking DBZ movie...coming live to you in 2136 on japanese import only. :0\

Exactly, the cast list was stupid, whoever invented this hoax just tried to find actors that could best portray the DBZ characters.

However, what they forgot to mention is how many of these actors are A-Celebrities who would want millions, making this movie's budget in the hundred millions just for paying the actors. I think it's fair to assume that they would not make any profit on this movie if it did come out.
