is it me or did we have more maps when u did not use steam when u just load the game

ok i was installing the game and i did not install the steam yet and i started the game and when the game started i went to host game and when i was able to pick a map it looked like that there were a few more maps to pick from. so when i installed the steam and all that when i went to host a game now it looks like there are less maps to pick from
