Installing ESF with Steam

I don't knwo if this question was already answerd if so please, bare with me, im new here. I'm trying to figure how to install ESF through steam. I installed it into C:/Programs/Steam/SteamApps/<my e-mail>Half-Life. And it worked, I was able to launch esf, but it had the hl Background, And i was unable to change my keyboard settings. If anyone can help me, that would be much appriciated.

just copy ur old config.cfg over to the steam esf folder and done :O

That Didn't work. When i launch it, the HL background appears, and i can't change my esf keyboards commands =(

The HL background will stay there, because the backgrounds for HL are different from the ones being used in Steam. Either different type or quality, dosn't matter really.

What you need to do is (unfortunatly) bind all the keys by hand, to do this press ~ and type bind keyletter command.

For example, if you wanted to bind right mouse to jump, you would type:
bind mouse2 jump
I'm thinking about making a thread of all the binding controls so you can copy/paste it into Steam, if it sounds like a good idea.

More commands: +fly, turbo, fire, moveleft, moveright, forward, backward, fire2, fire1(if not fire1 then just fire), block (if not block then +block)... all I could think of right now, good luck.

It is ESF Steam Pack V1.0
Tommorow I will release ESF Steam Pack V2.0 - This will also fix some more bugs (including the keyboard one) and will add background music (like in Steam DOD)
