Installer Problems

I know this question has been asked in like 5 threads, but they still didn't have the answer.
This is my problem: I installed ESF like a month ago, so i wanted too reinstall it but now im getting some kind of error.
First it checks for my drive A:/ and then it says:Cannot find installation source
I tried everything, i downloaded it like from 4 different links
I even couldn't install Msi because i have Windows ME. (there are 2 downloads 1 of win 95 98 and 1 of winXP Windows 2000)
And they both don't work because i got ME. :cry:
Can someone please help me.

so. you cant reinstall esf anymore. mhh.. you already tryd to delete esf directory and then reinstall? if not. i always go to START --> command --> start REGEDIT and search for ESF or Earth special forces ) * search whit CTRL + F in REGEDIT

I tried that but didn't work.
This is very weird.
Please i wan't too play it today O_O

You say it checks your A drive?
Did you save it onto a disc and instal from there? If so, the copmuter may be searching A drive for your esf folder and the uninstal program.
Try going directly to your esf folder and using the unin000 to uninstall, then download esf again, and re-install it... Hope that was of help.

I didn't save it on a disc.
I found out something, when it begins installing it checks also my cd rom drives and my a:\ drive and then im getting some error that it doesn't find the installation source or i don't have permission. (i geuss il must wait till 1.1)

This is the error code: error 1612 The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.

Try going directly to your esf folder and using the unin000 to uninstall....
... Best not bump... people would have read this anyways...
Or try to install the installer again... Then run it... I think you will be abel to overwrite your files like this.
Are you SURE that you didnt download the installer onto a disc?

How do you mean go to my esf folder, the installer won't work and it doesn't install the esf folder.
So i don't have a esf folder :cry:
Isn't there a zip file out there of esf, if there is please give me the link

OOOOOOOOO... Oops! Sorry. I thought you meant that you installed it, but couldnt uninstall it.... Wait... Thats exactly what you said!

then you open your Halflife folder, then go to the esf file in there... there Is an uninstall program there.. After you uninstal, you might be abel to install again. So your old esf folder.... But I might be misunderstanding...

Well i still have this installer problems and i still can't play.

Note: You know that the installer shows what it is going to install before the setup, well it doesn't appear in my installer, its like it isn't going too install a thing, help

well.. Happy B-day ^_^ .. you could use the Search button and try to search for esf zip file. something like that

I also have a problem. I have installed halflife fine and then i got to install esf but when it is configuring windows installer it teks ages to do then it says "1608:Unable to create Installdriver instance"

2. right click and extract it too zip

Done. Message me on AIM. My SN is Assmonkeysam. I will be on for awhile. Oh yeah, I have some custom models so I am sorry if you do not like them. But why don't you install it to a different drive, then copy it over to the A:/ drive?
