And also I don't know you so I can't say much but I can say that this is one of the wonderful great deeds that we should hear more about in the news, true hero stuff and I'm sure the kid will respect that as to be honest if I think of it from that point of view, it's pretty damn sweet to have a dad that cared that much about a family

But although it's sweet for you, I am being honest here because I think you deserve nothing less so you should be prepared that your sister might change her mind or that she might not want to give the baby to you once she's given birth (I don't know her ether but I do know that a mothers instinct is the most powerful thing on this planet) but then again ether way the kid is with someone who loves him so it's all win right? And I ether way, I hope you find happiness as for even saying such a idea takes great courage

with names, i really dont know. ive always liked a couple of names, but want to save them for **MY** kids. im not gonna treat this one any different to my own, but ill never let it call me dad, since im not its dad. its gonna know exactly who its real parents are. they can answer for their actions as and when they have to. im just gonna provide a good living environment, a good education, and good morals... maybe some food too if its lucky.

names for my kids:
boy - Tim
girl - Amanda, or Mandy for short.

i was thinking if this kid is a boy, ill call it Alan, after my Grandfather. and if its a girl, Ruth, after my grandmothers middle name (her first name was dorothy, a bit old fashioned.)

thanks for the advice desmond. but from what i can gather, my mother is pretty disgusted in my sisters complete lack of compassion, and probably would have some VERY harsh things to say if Emma (sister) decided to keep the child. baring in mind also that my sisters morals are quite questionable...

Axman I won't quote your whole post because it's too long but yer I like the fact that your gonna be truthful to your nephew and I think you will make a great father when you have kids and I hope you all the best and the best advice for names is to go with great grand parents, most of the time there old but it's all starting to come back now as for mine I'd use

boy = Arthur (I'm british, need I say more )
girl = Lisa (the first girl I had a crush on, and just a nice name)
