I'm not really sure what the term is, but hey, the title got your attention. My suggestion is basically to add a bit of spice and life to give ESF a more animated and actual dbz anime feeling ingame.

It plays the role of animating faces in-game by switching them in certain timeframes/situations. Below are a few examples so you can better gather what i'm talking about.

That is an example of what could be used as a face skin when hit by melee or a beam. I don't really ever think DBZ chars kept a serious face after being smashed 50feet.. or in 1.2's terms, thrown.

Beat Up

Just a nice little addition for when someone reaches perhaps 1/4 health. Their overall body skin would change and be bloody/burned but this is just a quick example to show you how a face might look.

That's my suggestion for further additions into ESF.

as said tons and tons of times before


this just isnt gonna happen theres already an insane amount of models and animations for them having damaged/other skins is just too crazy

A mesh modifier is something used in 3d Studio max. The only way something like that would be possible in Half-life is by using submodels and multiple skins.
