How to instal the bots?

Hey, thats some good work there Bram. Hopefully now people won't panic and complain and wonder what to do when it comes to installing the bots. Two things tho, the link to the liblist.gam file is dead. Also, when you (as in whomever is installing the bots) creates the shortcut, instead of doing what Bram said, just make a shortcut and in "Target" type (or paste) the following:
C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -game esf -console

That will make a shortcut that opens ESF directly.

Sorry to go against you Bram, but i thought that would make it a little easier for people, instead of having to go through Half Life and Custom Game all the time


Jackripp; if you did everything in that little walkthrough, then it should have worked without a hitch, unless you made a drastic mistake somewhere.

To be honest, i dont think they would read it, even if it were made a sticky.

From what i've gathered, they sign up and then immediately start a thread somewhere asking people for help with something, neglecting to look at any other threads to see if they can solve the problem themselves.

One thing though... you forgot to tell that you have to change "console 0.0000" in the config.cfg file into "console 1.0000", that's why at first I didn't understand why I couldn't open the console.

"-noipx" add it for deactivating the IPX support

IPX is an old network protocol (TCP/IP is a newer protocol) ... noone uses it now (Starcraft does)
It won't make much diffenrece ... but these who are fighting for every fps ...
I think it's ok to ass it ... I'm using it, too ... and I don't have probs
