It seems to me, that hate now a days has become a matter of peer pressure. In that, if a group of people is hating someone or something, another group of people would hate the same thing for the same or different reason, simply because the others are doing it.
Looks like the guide forgot another charecteristic of 'noob'. How about 'writing a multiple page guide on how to avoid them'?
I myself think the entire 'noob' premise is quite retarded. Sure, there ARE some people that can be complete asses about everything, but what is the purpose in labelling people like a gang or an outlawed group anyway. Would not hating these people in return, make you a 'noob' in a sense of the so called definition given above?
Meh, I might sound stupid, but it seems like the term 'noob' is thrown around so much people even use it in real life, which is sad. The word itself has been slain, just like the word hacker has, where hacker is now described as someone who downloads a script not written by them, follows a readme not written by them, and with a few mouse clicks gets auto-aim in CS.
In conclusion, it would be nice if people could just call them douche bags or just stupid instead of coming up with a new word for everything that involves the internet.

in response to tassadar.... meh ppl get called noob cuz of lack of skill in my experience.. i was once called a noob now some call me a hacker/scripter lol... altho there is a certain crowd.. seems to be the Half-Life/StarCraft crowd.. the only people who actually condem people who are newer to the game than them.. it really is heard less often in other games

Calling other people names and insulting them because they aren't as good at the game as you is retarded.
I've been playing ESF for like at least four years, but you bet your ass I get called a big noob *** every game...why? Because I don't win all the time.

I, for one, would look forward to the elitist prick, formally known as "Llamas", guide. All of them think they are hot ****, but in reality, only a handfull of them actually are. Especially from the 1.1 days where everyone was an exploit whore.
