No. I said that all the performance optimizations are practically done for the newer cards these days. Depending on the gfx card used in certain machines (If it be an older gfx card), then installing newer drivers on it may cause a impact on frame rates, which at times can be minimal or noticeable. However in the best interest of fixing your issue I suppose you can disregard this fact.
