how do i install the game and do i need steam?

ok i got the game now how do i install it and do i reallly NEED steam to play it?

you do need steam to play online - and you also need a valid cdkey.

to install:

1. download steam from www.steampowered.com

2. register your cdkey with steam

3. install halflife from steam

4. install esf and play!
