Your not being very nice "SailorAlea"

Your not listaning to the facts,

I am Captain BoB, my Sister is V.B. As 9in we have the SAME mom and dad, and the SAME grand father and mother.

I am very offended by your actions, Do you know anyone even fat? are you fat?
Let me tell you somthing about myself.

at the age of 12 i was 280 lbs. if i hit 300 i would surely die of an heart attack.

I did something about it.

Im 180 lbs now. and i feel great and healthy.

And if i die from loseing "To much fat" id rather do that then die from being to fat.

My father was 340 lbs. now he is 240,(thats 100 pounds lost if you care to count)

AND my grandfather was nearly 400 lbs.

He is 240 lbs now.

Do not go around saying its "Not safe" or "Whats not safe about this diet"

Id rather die here and now than blow up for gods sake.

Once again i am offended by your actions.

I do not think that this diet is for everyone true, but if you do it right THERE ARE NO DANGERS!!!!!!!

For gods sake go and read the book!

(P.S. if i have offended you, im sorry. i was very angry when i read this post. Sorry again.)

Its the diet! think about that!

"Fat is not "FAT!"

There is only one type, the type that fuels your body.

Carbs are "Energy" that give you a boost when you eat them.

When you do not use this extra "Energy" it builds up on you.

That is what makes you fat, the extra"Energy" stays on you cuss its got nowhere to go.

When you eat "Fat" guess what? insted of staying on you, its digested first.

Becuase the way your body works is it eats the "Energy"

Carbs are extra "Energy" and if you work very hard thats fine, but thats what most people do not under stand, you have to "Work it off!"

Fat on the other hand just gets burned up first. see what i mean? (What we call "Fat" is really extra energy, What we call fat people is really lazy people)

Ask me later if you want me to get the book and go all scientific and all.

What has losing fat got todo with this?
Because Alea's posts were on how fat can kill you. No fat kills you too, so you really can't go on a "0 fat" diet and stay healthy.

Heh, yes, you're right, Alea's posts were about how fat can kill you, was she wrong? She was just pointing out that you weren't telling the whole truth. You said that fat wasn't bad for you, well that's a very general statement and that's what makes it wrong. Just becuase you have experience doesn't mean that it's a reliable source.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, you guys obviously aren't going to convince eachother, so why don't you just agree to disagree?

You know, it's nice that you lost weight and all, but just because you did, doesn't mean it's healthy for you. Eating nothing but bacon and eggs and cheese isn't healthy for you because they contain vast amounts of saturated fat and cholestoral.

Even a ten year old knows this.

Yes, you will die if you eat 0 fat, and you will die if you eat too much. You have to eat a correct amount, but MORE IMPORTANTLY, you have to eat -the healthy TYPES- of fat.

Correct you are. You should have some kind of a balance to your diet if you really wanna stay healthy. Great looking people can die young. Someone that looks slightly overweight and ugly may actually be in quite good health. Mostly because everyone's genetics are different. Metabolism, etc. However, if you eat too many fats your metabolism doesn't help. You die of heart disease. If you eat too LITTLE fat, you get way too thin and die just as soon or sooner. Basically agreeing with Alea's last post. It can't be incredibly healthy to go on a fatty diet for too long. Sure, if you want to lose a few pounds it's great. But after you lose the weight, maintain a healthy balance of meals. If you want to keep it off, you're going to have to do some work.

Especially since the weight from Atkins is shown to balloon back after you stop the diet, so you're left with the same weight you lost, AND you've got the increased cholestoral and saturated fat levels!
