ugh look reguardless of what you cry about it's not changing anymore, the eyebrows look like they are fromth e front because it's the only medium to where the sided didn't look completely wrong. This was because of a skinmap error and wasn't worth the trouble to fix since from any other angle the fromt he front he looks fine. Also about the eyes nice deduction of course i was talknig about alllll the black and white images in the manga, i dunno why we even put any color in him? I certainly wasn't talking about the colored images that akira did for covers and posters, that would just be crazy to use as a referance.

You want to throw around refs I can throw some up here where he has white eyes. You are showing referances from the anime, do you really think in your mind that we haven't seen those or something? that we have worked on this many mods without knowing that krillins eyes in the show are the color of his skin? Come on we know what they drew him like and we chose to go with the white version because in our opinion it looked better, if you don't agree sorry but thats too bad, jsut make your own krillin to play with and stop arguing in this thread.

You see, inanely babbling to yourself doesn't actually make you right, much to your obvious dismay, Smo.

You should be making your models as close to the show's characters as possible, as this is based on the show. Not, "based on what the all-mighty Smo happens to think looks better."

I suppose that perhaps you think Majin Buu looks stupid, and as such, your next model of him should have him in a blue and yellow polka dot dress, perhaps?

I gave you real crits. I can understand about the eye color--most people are used to seeing the incorrect models, and an accurate one takes awhile to get used to. As for the eyebrows, I don't see how it would be hard to implement them, considering Masta was able to, in the old model.

so one model is one way makes our wrong? You can complain all you want about the eye color but in the end you will be wrong. This mod is based on DBZ, guess who created it, thats right Akira Toriyama. Now lets see, who should we be following closer to if we are making a DBZ mod? The person who created it or artist they hired to draw it? I personally feel that going with the creator is best.

Once again if you listen for a second instead of fighting back you will see I clearly stated that the reason the eyebrows look like that was because of a skinmapping error. The onlyway to correct that woul be to reskinmap and skin the face, and thats just tooo much work, it's not that important you can get over it.

Wee.. All the nice things I have to say to you aside, the model you made and posted looks good, except for the face. You don't want to fix the eye color, fine. But you should at least un-slant the eyebrows and raise them up a bit, and consider moving the pupils.

Seems the eyebrows can be attached, but they're still thicker and more curved than in the model. Not nearly as 'straight lines' as in your model.

You should also stop being of the opinion that crits on your models are personal attacks on yourself. That seems to lead you to flames.

As for Eclipse, who keeps talking to me when I'm only talking to Smo..

"so one model is one way makes our wrong?" That statement doesn't make ANY sense. The mod is based on DBZ, and guess who created it? Toriyama Akira. Yeah. He did, and the way I've shown are his creations and what he's licensed to be created.

Who is a bigger authority on the way it should be drawn? The original artist, Toriyama, or some modeller who thinks "this way looks better?" Yes. THE CREATOR.

Your entire post made no sense whatsoever.

*coughcough, Tien 1.3 contest thread, coughcough*

Anyway.. as for personal attacks, I believe the first thing you said was either saying I didn't have an open mind, or I was dodgey.

And then, you decided to continue by posting a correction of the eye color,

"notice the complete and utter ****ing ***ness that is the suggestion many of you have made.

thank you for your time."

With contempt, swearing and sarcasm. Wee. "Flame it up" is right.

I'll make this very, very simple so that anyone can understand.

Me:Posts Corrections, comments and criticism.
You:Posts "You must have a malfunctioning screen or are close minded."
Me:Posts comparison of Models
You:Posts "notice the complete and utter ****ing ***ness that is the suggestion many of you have made.

thank you for your time."

Me:Posts "Well, for one thing.. the centers of Krillin's eyes are _always_(almost always, anyway) at the outer right and left edges of the eyes, to the point of being cross eyed. As well, his very thick black eyebrows are _above_, and curved. Not a straight line along his eyelids."

You:"now what on earth would make me want 2 portray krillin as being cross eyed? his eyebrows are like that because of the model, please show me a front on picture of ANY dbz character with actual EYEs and not mishaped squares... if you want i can move his eyebrows above where his 'eyelids' would be.. but i really REALLY wasnt aware of dbz charcters ever being drawn with eyelids... unless ofcourse they had half open eyes.

You have 2 go with what looks good and what works with the model, your not providing crits or helping at all, your just sooking abou the eye colour and how big his eyebrows are o_O, well excuse me whilst i prove you wrong and ignore u."

Seeing a pattern?

The statement "Flame on," is preposterous when it's obvious who's burning up.

Yeah.

http://www.angelfire.com/dbz/furbiesareevil/manga_m.htm

There's some manga shots, you can find more for yourself.

-----------------------

Compare it to your most recent work.

Right.. My flatscreen, along with several others, and anybody's minds with something called 'perception,' must be dodgey.
Ya thats true and also the eyes are looking wayyy to evil for krillen

u want me 2 stomp in the middle of his face and push theyees 2 the side of the head?

model is final nothing is going 2 be changed since its already been sent out for animation.

if your going 2 post exactly what the previous person has just said then don't post at all, the problems were explained and you have been shown how it looks, despite your *****ing, it stays as is. Krillin is not going 2 run round crosseyed like he just snifed some coke and have a 'got ****ed up the ass by roshi' smile on his face, hes killing people in a game hes not going 2 look half out of it. or if you want i could put rosey red cheek on cell and we ould all sit in a circle and sing songs :).

btw salior.

you posted this after a calm post:

'Um.. No offense, but what are you smoking?'

if no offense was meant then why say it at all? it seems 2 me ure the one that started all this :). Don't start posts off with ill intentions and you won't be flamed.

"What are you smoking?" was talking to the people who were saying the model was perfect, not to you for making it. What "seems 2 u" is irrelevant, because you made a mistake.

You hadn't even posted in the thread yet, how could that have been flaming YOU?

And my suggesting improvements to the model isn't "*****ing," it's called crits to your flawed model. If you can't take crits on models you're making, you shouldn't be making models. Period.

BE GRATEFUL THAT HE MADE A MODEL!

Hate it so much? Make your own model, animate it and all the rest then insert yourself into 1.3 once it's released. Once 1.3 has been released you should be finished with it. If Mr Smo thought to himself there was something wrong with the facial expression of the model, I'm sure he would've changed it, but he didn't, so therefore he won't change it.

keep in mind that people can and will have different oppinions,
is sailor doesnt think the model is right he can state his oppinion about it,

when i´m looking at the model it isnt quite krillin, its something in the face, cant exactly point my finger at it.

sailor, you have a right to post your oppinion, but smo said it is final, so anything said to comment/crit the model isnt gonna help anymore.

it is the new krillin ingame.

Do you honestly have any idea what your talking about in that second comment? The creator of the serious colored covers and posters of the original manga before he liscensed it. In these he colored Krillins eyes white. Just because he allowed the people to change his ideas for an anime doesn't mean it was the original way he intended it.

Also for the 3rd time, the eyebrows HAVE to be that way, please read my other posts i am tired of explaining it. Krillin has been rigged and aniamtions have been started so any edits to the model or skinmap at this point at impossible.

Look I don'tknow why you continue you complain about this, it cannot and will not be changed.

One last thing about your simple version here is mine

SailorAlea: Um.. No offense, but what are you smoking? The skin is terrible, totally not on par with any of Smo's other models. Raiko's Krillin model that he made and posted to Esf-World is about ten times better, when it comes to the face. Seriously

I'm tired of posting here because you continually persist for no reason and in vain, but I do look forward to reading what you come up with next.

[EDIT] Please peopel for CHRIST SAKE read the news post!! Smo didn't model him I DID!!!!!!! Jeez all that work and you think smo did it -_-. Also tho you might not have flamed smo directly you flamed his work in your first post as well as mine. Therefor it gave us a reason to be upset and get snippy back at you.

Are you SERIOUSLY *****ing about a 1/4 scale model's EYEBROWS and EYE COLOR? For the LEAST USED CHARACTER IN THE GAME? Are you on heavy drugs or what?

I like the model. If you want to snap about the eye color why don't you go burn the old modellers' asses for not making vegeta have the proper amount of spikes in his hair, or how they used the orange Goku suit instead of the red one, or the lack of the Kai symbol on the back of Goku's gi? Or the fact that Gohan doesn't really look like his hair is exactly right?

"My god, the neck line of Trunks' shirt was NOT that low. And clearly his hair is violet-magenta, not purple. God, Smo, how can you have such a lack of detail? Smo, you suck as a modeller. Just hang yourself and quit so we can have the Alpha2.0 models back. They were MUCH more accurate. For god's sake. I bet when you make a Frieza model it won't even have a scouter on it that dynamically beeps as I look at other players...amateur!"

Here's my point of view:

Is this Krillin better than the old Krillin? YES, infinitely.
Is this Krillin worse than the old Krillin? By the word of Christ himself, Hell no.
Is this Krillin close enough to the show that it's not even worth mentioning? Yes, unless you're an anime nazi.

So can we quit complaining about the consistency of his frigging eyebrows and be happy we're even getting a new version at all? After all, if I were Mastasurf I would be treating this forum like the playpen it really is. "You want to throw your new Krillin toy on the floor, fine. We'll take it away." That would be an interesting approach, no? It's what I'd do...save the models for like, two versions away.

It's a matter of preferences. If you want him to look like a nerdy wuss, by all means...save your models folder and keep the busted-ass old model. Don't tell the guy to make the damn game.

Be thankful. I had three new sprites and a whole music pack that I'm not releasing cause of this sort of crap; if I were Smo I'd do the same. At the rate people around here are behaving, I'd be damned if I'd work on a 1.3 version. Thank god the team are more forgiving guys than I am.

Just ask yourself the right questions: instead of "How can I use this really good model to flame Smo because I obviously don't like him/his work for some reason and need reason to perpetuate the bull****tery," you should probably consider asking reasonable questions relating to the game, such as, "Does this model look good in game?" and "How well is it animated?" and "Can I recognize who it is without being stoned on crystal meth?" At least that's the way I see it.

That being said, I like the model. Krillin's a wimp in the show, and I really don't want to be charging head-on into him and seeing the scared/confused face that he always makes while we're engaging in advanced melee or a head-on struggle or something. A gritty, clenched face makes a lot more sense in the game currently. And yet again I say, it looks like Jesus Christ came down and made all the short bus kids able to walk again, compared to the old one.

Jesus christ, if there was anybody who won't just drop things, it's probably one of you two.

In the manga, the vast majority of which is black and white, his eyes are portrayed with no differentiation between the skin and the eye color, and that's the same way it's done in the anime.

Also, I'd like to point out that ESF is based on the anime rather than the manga.

Whether or not you can change the eyebrows from their blatantly flawed form NOW because of an "error" you're getting isn't a point--they're still a flaw of the model, you can't get mad (logically, which doesn't seem to bother you) at someone who didn't know.

And guess what? I put mine as 'comments' because there was nothing offensive directed at him until he had flamed me about 3 or 4 times consecutively when I had continued to be polite.

And, what you seem to consider "flaming" are called crits--and like I said, if you can't handle crits then you shouldn't be modelling.
