I wouldn't kill a spider. I'd collect them and put them all in my neighbour's house.

You should go bomb your house with that pesticide stuff. Go buy some Insect Foggers and leave for about 24 hours. You will come home and find almost 99% of them dead. The rest would have either fled the house or barely survived and won't live long at all.

Technically speaking, spiders are not insects.

Yes, if you start to see more than one spider at a time... you have an infestation/nest.

As spiders tend to spread out, nomadically.

It's why you rarely see more than one together... unless big momma and daddy are in the basement/attic.

That is the stuff we used when we first bought the Anime shop I work at. It was infested with spiders and roaches and more unwanted things. Threw 4 or 5 cans in the shop and came back about 24 hours later to find spiders, roaches, rats, and more dead creatures on the ground. We used them at my house as well. Threw 2 deep under the house and 1 for each room. It works perfectly.

4. In contrast, each year the average person will "eat" several insects while they are sleeping. During the average lifetime, a person consumes about seventy insects and ten spiders during their sleep. According to some sources, beetles have a taste that is similar to apples while wasps taste like pine nuts.

The question now burning on everybody's lips is, what do spiders taste like? Are they yummy? How many have you eaten in the last few days?

I think the pic of the meaty portion of the thumb is the result of a brown recluse bite, which don't nearly as terrifying as the spider shown.
