Hero is finally in the US! I originally saw this movie over six months ago when my friend had the DVD imported. Recently they have been playing the trailer on TV and before movies. All I can say is, it's about damn time! I highly recommend going to see this movie. The special effects are really impressive and the fight sequences are well laid out. Also I can't forget the arrows, mmm hmm, many many many arrows . After watching the trailer you would expect the movie to be just another Braveheart, Last Samurai genre of move, but the storyline actually has some depth to it. Mid way through the movie you will probably be wondering what the hell is going on, but it will all come together in the end. Just to give you a little hint; pay attention to colors :0).

Last I checked Hero is coming out tomorrow, so go see it! My only hope is that they don't butcher the movie by dubbing it in English.

Tarantino had nothing to do with the filming of this movie.. He's just paying for it to be brought to the USA.

None the less, he was involved in it, meaning it will be good. Don't question the logic here. It works, you just need to open your mind.

So if Tarantino decided to pay for a chinese version of "Good Burger II" to come to the US, it'd automatically be good? :p

I'm sure it looks good but a lot of people were dissapointed with the kill bill series (which i didn't see). I just want to know what makes Quentin Tarantino think he knows everything there is to know about japanese culture

I'll go back to SailorAlea's point, He never claimed that, and he NEVER made the movie, he is just paying for it to get on over here. So it wasn't made, or filmed by him.

Hero just came out on DVD in America? Weird it's been out for quite a while her in Europe, weird how we Europeans get a movie before Americans get it...

I personally don't really care for most of Tarantino's work. I thought that Kill BIll II was better than Kill Bill I, which isn't saying much.

Dpredator, The official dvd isn't released in the US yet. It is just coming out in theaters. The fact that the movie is a Honk Kong film probably has to do with Europe getting the movie before the US.

Tarantino is so over rated. i dunno how this guy got famous. he takes obscure ideas and then the sheep that the audience are just eats it up. I walked out of kill bill and demanded my money back and i didnt even pay to see the movie. **** Tarantino.

that aside hero looks good then again Tarantino didnt have anythign to do with the filming so it should be good.

What? I loved the Kill Bill series. Personally, I think the first one was a lot better than the sequel, but I still loved it. Tarantino is awesome! I don't know if Pineapple was watching the same movie as me. o_O

The fight scenes were incredibly and felt reminescent of an anime movie. It was a great movie, period. :p

yes tarantino is overrated, i found myself gritting my teeth through most of the dialogue in kill bill, and i detest the fact that he slapped his name on hero and is now basically taking credit for it.
