ESF worked fine in E:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\EMAIL\half-life\
I downloaded the server file and tried to install to
E:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\EMAIL\dedicated server
but it says ESF could not be found on selected destination. Please choose again

Cany anyone please tell me the correct location to install using Steam on Windows XP

Or if there is any other way to install without steam

Any help is really greatly appreciated... thanks

Standalone Dedicated Server (Windows) (421 MB) - The Steam client includes an option to download a dedicated server component.

I already have Steam, i already have Steam Dedicated Server.
A list of the games i have on my steam
My Games (Email)
Condition Zero
Condition Zero Deleted Scenes
Counter-Strike
Half-Life
Codename Gordon
Team Fortress Classic
Day Of Defeat
Deathmatch Classic
Opposing Force
Ricochet

Third Party Games
Action Half-Life
Digital Paintball
Earth's Special Forces
Half-Life Rally v1.0(BETA)
Frontline Force
Sven Coop
The Specialists
Vampire Slayer
Zombie Panic

Tools
Dedicated Server
When i install this is will allow me to run a ESF server using steam ?
Will it remove any of my steam settings ?

I already have Steam, and i dont want to make any mistakes on it to make it not work again,

Create a dedicated half-life game first. That way the correct directories will be created. After that, install the esf server version. Or install the server that doesn't require the steam client, as Orion proposed.

In that case It looks like you've installed ESF somewhere else, Probably best to re install it in the defalt folder...
