Have a client.dll error? Get the fix here!

I've noticed an increasing number of users reporting client.dll errors without checking the stickies, or searching first. Please do so! It will save us all a good deal of time!

For those that want the fix:

http://www.mechmod.com/team/pcjoe/fmod.dll - try saving this to your half-life directory - it will clear that error up quicker than you can congratulate yourself for searching properly :laff:

Sven Co-op, along with most mods, uses the newer version of fmod.dll. ESF uses the older version. There's a set of batch files as attachments on that page that will let you switch between them. Just extract it to youremail/halflife

Just ignore vuk - he doesn't know what he's talking about - this fix does work

The difference in mods works because they use different versions of fmod - different versions don't work in other mods. You can use the fix on the svencoop forums to fix that

Doesnt work for me,i DID copied to HALF LIFE directory but doesnt work.And where can i get 1.2 Version?

Not online you can't - all the servers are using 1.2
So you're basically stuck i'm afraid.

Hi,

if this is a know problem why don't you go and change the code,
that your mod loads/searchs the fmod.dll in you Mod folder ??

Don't try to tell me that it isn't possible cause I did that sometimes
ago myself too and their's also a tutorial out there which explains how
to do that...

I can't understand why Mods which using fmod to play mp3, don't load
