I was just wondering though, do you not need to add some kind of policy to the validation site? So people cannot potentially sue you for supposedly 'stealing' their accounts through this validation method? Some people people might just be stupid enough and sue you, claiming they have lost their account due to this validation. And yes, that will most likely happen. I seem to remember a case where someone sued a microwave company for not stating the fact that you cannot put wet cats in a microwave. Hilarity ensued.
The site you log in is steampowered.com itself. All the login does is tells our site if you have Half Life on your STEAM account or not. Garys mod uses it to allow downloads from their site.

I've fixed it for you, but I've altered the main post and added:

We've had a ridiculous number of people asking for support, only to have them reveal they're not using Steam 3 pages later. This way, we can check quickly without the hassle. This helps especially with the ones who try to con us into believing they are using it ^^.
people can have an original half life copy withot buying or even installing steam (or downloading)

Yes they can, but this game won't work without Steam. And in order to get support for this game, you need Steam and a legal copy of Half Life.

If you have a Legal Half Life, then you just register the CD-key on STEAM and you get the latest patch for the game. No latest patch = using an incorrect game version for ESF. It might work, it might crash, it might cause other problems. But since you wouldnt be using the latest patch for Half Life those problems are yours to deal with and yours alone. Noone on this forum is permitted to give support for anything other than problems happening on STEAM or how to get HL working on STEAM.

I'm not using Steam and I won't ever use.
except for getting free demos, It's just not my way paying for something you can't see in the moment, considering my download speed isn't great and it would be just a waste of time downloading it (steam) and if something wrong with the computer and some files get deleted, the whole game won't work.
+I can't even pay online because my card isn't worldwide (not that I've ever thought on doing that)

You do realize that without steam, you won't be able to play ESF Final, right?

Heh, Half-Life has tons of awesome mods you can play with both single-player and multi-player. Such as Sven Co-op, the ESF series, Naruto Naiteki Kensei, the specialists. You wouldn't just get the game for Earth's Special forces, but many other mods as well.

no... I'm not looking for such games either (and for sure not Naruto), I'm looking for buying a PS3 and getting God of War 3, Raging Blast, Raging Blast 2, Burst Limit... that's what I save my money for (I'm only 15, how much can I already get.)

Heh, It's funny. Half-Life 1 is only around 10 dollars (or even less), while those games you mentioned are.. I don't know, 30 to 60 dollars per game?
